I must be masochistic. There's no other explanation for why I keep finding artists outside of the US who I can't 1) see in concert and 2) download their music. But I guess it's a burden I'm all too willing to bear because let's face it, Lawson is spectacular.

I decided to look into them after seeing the boys of The Wanted tweet about them, and after seeing Sugarscape tweet a picture from one of their shows, I decided they would most definitely be worth looking into. And boy am I glad I did. Upon finding their YouTube channel, the very first thing I decided to watch was their cover of Lady Gaga's "Marry the Night." Why you ask? Well, I haven't seen any covers of "Marry The Night" and the fact that this British pop-rock band decided to cover a song that my pop expert friend regards as one of Gaga's best and most under appreciated single intrigued me. How would they cover it? And most importantly, how could they possibly do it justice? Well, the answer is quite simple. They stripped it down and slowed it into a gorgeous ballad feel that ultimately caused my to get chills. (It also did the same for Siri, so that's sayin' something. It wasn't just me lol) That cover alone was all I really needed to solidify my love for them. But I can't really justify writing a post mainly based on one cover, so I found myself listening to their latest single.

Now, if you're thinking that they can only pull off other people's songs, I'd have to call bullshit, because "She Was Mine" is a wonderful piece of pop to rival that of artists such as Parachute. It has ALL potential to get on the radio, and honestly I'll be quite disappointed if it doesn't make it's way to America ASAP.

I mean, it'd only make sense that they would break the US, right? They've toured with the likes of The Wanted, Avril Lavigne and Westlife. They also had their own headlining tour in May AND are a part of the lineup for T in the Park. Basically they're going places in the UK and with the amount of UK acts taking a crack at the US right now, I can only hope they'd join along.

That all being said it looks like their album isn't set to drop until September and we all know that means that here in the US of A we'll have to wait a couple months longer than that, but lemme be the first to tell you that this band is DEFINITELY worth the wait.

All Night Affair

It was pretty late last night/this morning when I decided it was time to go to sleep. I was drifting off when my email alert on my phone sounded. Now, normally, I would have ignored it and continued on my path to blissful coma but for some reason I was like "Let me just take a look at that." The email in question was none other than a Twitter follow from All Night Affair. Again, I probably would have ignored it until morning, but something kept me pressing forward and I found myself on All Night Affair's youtube channel. I clicked on the first video that had popped up-- a cover of The Fray's "Over My Head (Cable Car)"-- and that was when I decided staying up had been an excellent decision. Then his cover of "One Thing" by One Direction caught my eye and that was when I decided on my next Band That Needs Love Too.

All Night Affair consists of Dylan Ronan, who hails from Boston, MA and one of the things that I find most interesting about Mr. Ronan upon going through his Facebook were his influences. How many people do YOU know cite The Maine, The Summer Set and Lady Antebellum under their influences? Not many.

His covers are spot on and I think they're a great way for reaching out to a larger audience but I think where the magic happens is on his own tracks. Currently I'm listening to "Long Way Home" and it's taking all I have not to air guitar to this solo and keep typing. Ronan's vocals are reminiscent of Bryce Avary in my opinion, and I love it. It's like he took all the best bits of the bands I love (The Rocket Summer, The Summer Set, etc) and shoved them all together to create lighthearted, happy, pop-rock. Quite fitting if I do say so myself, ya know, since it's summer and all.

If anything, this is the type of music you pop in when you're planning on being out in the sun. At a beach? All Night Affair. Roadtrippin'? All Night Affair. Chillin' in my backyard because the beach is too far and I don't have the money to roadtrip? All Night Affair.

I think you get the point. I also think you get that I'm really pushing for you to go listen to him. So what are you doing still here?!

Remember When

Hah, the title kind of makes it look like this is gonna be a nostalgic post. Well it's not. It's a post about a pretty darn good band who just happens to have a nostalgic sounding name. It actually only took me half a song to decide that these boys would be this week's Band That Needs Love Too. Now, I know what you're thinking. That's totally jumping the gun. That's like basing a love for an album on the minute thirty iTunes preview of one song. But sometimes, you just know.

And with this band, I just new. Maybe because they seem to fit the candy coated confection sounds that I've been craving lately (Helloooo Boy Band Era 2.0), I don't know. But there is just something about Kyle Nelson's voice that just captured my heart, or... I guess my ears rather. Citing bands they like as The Summer Set, The Ready Set, Stereo Skyline, Never Shout Never and a handful of others, it's quite obvious to see where they fit in the pop rock genre that I know and love so well.

They are just a good time. Their music doesn't have any undertones that make me want to curl up and cry, they are just good, pure, pop rock. It's the type of music you can relate to and pop in on a hot summer day (or, if you're in Texas like me, a hot spring, summer AND winter day). To say that the music they are making is groundbreaking would probably be an overstatement, but it honestly feels like they aren't making it with an agenda. To me, and I could be wrong, but it feels like Remember When is just aiming to give you something to listen to that will make you smile.

Well you have succeeded boys, if that is indeed your mission, because I'm sitting here enjoying it like no other.

School Boy Humor

I won't lie, when I saw that I was being followed on Twitter by School Boy Humor, I thought it was something like Total Frat Move. Don't ask me why that was my first thought, because I'm not really sure why either. It just kinda happened.

But curiosity got the better of me and I looked into them, and I was quite surprised to find that SBH isn't a website about douchey things guys do, but in fact a rather good band.

Based out of Little Rock, AR, School Boy Humor is made up of twin brothers Phil and Anthony Evans and they have some of the catchiest beats I have heard. Their sound runs somewhere between The After Party and Breathe Carolina. What does that mean, you ask? It means they come at you harder than just your usual pop-punk/rock, but without the extra screaming vocals. (Not that I have anything against either, as my readers very well know.)

In fact, their beats are so infectious that as I sit here typing this, I can't help but bob my head with it. If you need something to get you pumped up or just want to listen to some damn good and catchy songs, SBH is the band for you.

But don't think that means they only do upbeat dance songs. These boys are versatile enough to make a heartwrenching love song or two. Don't believe me? Check out these lyrics. "There's nobody like your body when it's next to mine. I'm holding my breathe while you're holding on tight." Now, call me a sucker for love, but that is just sweet, ok.

There is also something to be said about a band that gets shit done. Since I have liked them on Facebook and followed them on Twitter, I don't go a day without seeing them promoting shows they're doing and responding to fans and inviting them to shows. Not only are they doing their time, but they seem like genuinely nice dudes, which gets you pretty damn far in my book. I missed them while they were here in Texas because I had work, but you don't have to miss them! They have tour dates up HERE. From what I can tell, they're currently up north, but it's only a matter of time before they get back down to the south.

Also, if you're in Texas and wanna see them in Arlington on your Spring Break, you definitely should. If it weren't for me working and covering SXSW, I'd be there in a second. (But mark my words, I WILL see these boys.) Information about that event HERE!

(One last sidenote: They definitely did a song with Jeffree Star, which is kind of badass. Just sayin.)

We Caught the Castle

So I was checking my Tumblr, you know, to see if anyone thought any of my posts were interesting enough to reblog and whatnot when I saw that I gained a new follower! Gaining a new follower on Tumblr always excites me because I figure they're following me because the genuinely like what I post, which means they like me because my Tumblr is basically what the inside of my head looks like. Anyway, so I checked out who followed me, and much to my surprise, it was a guy by the name of Joe Sellers, and he is in a band.

Upon clicking on the video he had posted of his band, I just HAD to listen to more of their music. I have mentioned before that I am not a fan of the female voice. My iPod is dominated by men, mainly because women can just be so damn whiney. But We Caught the Castle's front woman Hollie Elizabeth could sure as HELL hold her own on my iTunes library. While I come to find that many female vocalists in the pop-rock/punk genre are often compared to Hayley Williams or Cassadee Pope, I can't help but feel that Hollie not only could run circles around the two, but should be one of the voices others are compared to instead. (Not that I have anything against Hayley Williams or Cassadee Pope. They just are not my favorite female vocalists.)

But Ms. Elizabeth's voice isn't the the main component of what makes WCTC so good. No, this band is one of those bands that has found the magical combination. Maybe separately they are all great, but together... well... together they're fucking menace. While Hollie is the main voice, Robbie Everett (Bass), Simon Jackman (Lead Guitar) and the aforementioned Joe (Rhythm Guitar) all contribute vocals, creating such a wonderful contrast to blast from my speakers.

Don't think that this means I've forgotten Zak Watson, the band's drummer, because this boy holds it down. Generally, I'm not immediately captured by drums. I am aware that they're there, but I get caught up in voices first, and then guitars, and so on. However, this time around, my ears are just drawn to the pulsing, driving, crashing sounds that he's doling out on his drum set, and boy are they pleased.

I also think I should mention that Simon rocks a killer guitar solo in their song "Say What You Want." (Fun fact: I just listened to that song three times in a row because I liked it so much.)

Basically, these guys are where it's at. As far as I'm concerned, I would consider them my favorite female fronted band, and that is saying something. They are definitely a gem, and I kind of feel like I need to personally thank Joe for following me on Tumblr so that I could discover them.

ALSO, they're going to drop an album in March. They're doing a launch party for it March 23, so I can only assume that it comes out around that time. So if you're in Reading, you should DEFINITELY check it out. (Just add this to the many list of reasons as to why I live in the wrong country. -.- I need to get to the England. STAT.)

Summit Grove

Before I start this post, I just want to let you guys know that I went to an awesome concert last night, and now have a handful of bands to promote. But I'm going to start with a band that DIDN'T perform last night.

How does that work you ask? Well, I bought my little sister an Allstar Weekend shirt because she loves them just as much as I do, but lives in Alabama, thus couldn't come with me. In buying that shirt, their super nice merch guy handed me this flyer type dealy for his band.



Well, because he was so nice, I HAD to give him a chance, right? And I'm glad I did. In fact, I wish this band had been on the ticket as well because they would have fit in wonderfully amongst the others. I really like Jason Carter's voice (he was the merch guy, guitarist Vincent Rennie adds beautiful guitar to those vocals and Dominic Rennie has the percussion down on lock. For real, the longer I sit here at my computer listening to their release "What We're Fighting For," the more I wish I had gotten to seen them live.

That's ok though. I guess this just means that they will have to come to Austin sometime :)

They kind of remind me of Cartel with a hint of Allstar Weekend. Allstar Cartel. (Hah, was that funny? No? Womp.) And I will certainly be adding them to my iPod. I highly suggest you do the same and keep watch for them.

Their sound is definitely something I can imagine getting big. You go, Summit Grove! (And really. You should come to Austin. Just sayin.)

I know, I'm doing a poor job at posting regularly. If it isn't school (which, let's fact it, with just 10 hours of classes it probably isn't), it's Netflix and their ridiculously amazing selection of shows to choose from. All of How I Met Your Mother? Sherlock? 82 other things sitting in my instant queue? Oh, and when I have free time I'm writing for Rock Edition. (But like I said, Netflix has six seasons of HIMYM up.)

So what was it that got me out of my Netflix stupor? WELL I'M GLAD YOU ASKED! This, my dears, is LOVE & SATELLITES!

If you've read just about any post on this blog, you've heard this story before. Phone chimed which meant I had an email. Checked the email, which was from Twitter telling me I had a new follower. Checked that new followers band out because that's the law of Bands That Need Love Too. Now here's where the story changes. My past couple of followers had made me lose a little faith in my clause to give everyone a chance. Not because they're bad mind you, but because they weren't my cup of tea. So yeah, I was like eeeeeh, are they another band that's just not gonna cut it for me?

Luckily, they weren't. This Australian band has brought me out of the slump (and my Netflix coma) and for very good reason. Though they only have one song up on Facebook, it is a VERY good song. Now, maybe not the best song, but that isn't what makes this band so good.

It's the fact that their debut single is so good. They have just one song and with that one song they've gotten me hooked. I want nothing more than to hear some more and there isn't more for me to hear! So I just let it keep repeating. (Note: By this point the song has played three times.)

I'm also not the only person who thinks that these boys have talent that is gonna get them far as they played with Cartel. Call me crazy, but I think that means they're worth the listen.

Also, from the pictures I've seen, they look like they put on quite a good show.

All I can do is sit here, far FAR away in America and hope that they make it and get over here. (Or that I win the lottery and can get over there.)

Cold For June

I was very confused when I logged onto Twitter and experienced the new layout for the first time. All I really wanted to see was who this new follower was that I had gained in the night. Luckily for me, this new follower was WELL worth braving the latest Twitter change. Who was this follower you ask? Alan Reitman, singer of the band Cold For June.

Of course the first thing I did was click the link to his band's Facebook and BOY was I glad I did. This pop/rock group from Detroit is making some great stuff. Not in the same way as your usual rock band (though they do have the crashing guitars, smashing drums and various amazing vocals down) but in a whole new way. Amongst the typical pop/rock instrumentation, there are synths and orchestral instruments that bleed through and take center stage.

I love the way it sounds and how it all comes together and it reminds me of what Set It Off is going for (orchestral pop) only I think Cold For June might be achieving it better. (Sorry SIO. I freaking adore you boys nonetheless.) Anyway, I'm truly digging what their doing. Alan Reitman, along with guitarist/vocalist Matthew Sykora, lead guitarist Nick Reitman, bassist Ace Fowler and drummer Chad *Insert Last Name Here* are like a match made in music heaven.

I very much look forward to what these boys have in store, and you should too. Consider them added to my list of bands that need to get to Austin ASAP.

The Soldier Thread

Hello my dear readers! I'm sorry for the hiatus, but after the much needed vacation, bowl trip and reading down time, I am back and ready to introduce you to my first band that needs love of 2012 :)

I won't lie, I've been behind on my band discoveries since my last couple of real posts. (What can I say, it's the holidays.) So I took to my Facebook for this one and asked my friends (whom I rely on greatly when I reach a bandblock) about who should have the honors of being my first BTNLT for this year. I got a few suggestions, all which will most likely appear here, but this is the one that caught my eye.

I'm pretty sure that I've stated before (awhile back) that I'm not a huge fan of female voices. But there is something about Patricia Lynn's voice that is so mesmorizing and completely different that I can't help BUT love it. Maybe it's because it's so strong, and yet still so sweet sounding. Maybe it's because she can sing live as well. Or maybe it's just because it is a completely unique voice that I have never heard before. I don't know. But I think she is FABULOUS. Of course, she isn't the only member of this amazing Austin-based band, and the boys that support Patricia are in no means overshadowed by her. In fact, I do believe that they are perfect and wonderfully cohesive together. While seperately they may be wonderful, when brought together with Patricia, Todd Abels, Justing McHugh, Drew Vandiver and Chance Gilmore create music that I would like to call eargasmic. (See what I did there?)

This indie pop-rock group is such a breath of fresh air and I'm pretty sure I may be in love with them (It's all so sudden!) (Lol, am I funny yet?). Now I guess I'll give you some facts, huh?

January 31. Mark it on your calendars. The Soldier Thread's EP drop that day and, if I may be so bold, you would be stupid to miss it. And if you're in the area (WHY AM I NOT IN AUSTIN!) they'll be doing a free show tomorrow, January 6, at Frank.

Good music. Good FREE music. I really see no reason for anyone in Austin to miss it. Especially if you are loving the new sound growing in the area right now, because The Soldier Thread might be giving Speak a run for their money as the forefront of the Austin movement.

(It should probably be noted though that that is just my opinion and I am in no way qualified enough to be taken seriously lol)

Mark my words you guys, you aren't gonna miss out on TST. I know I won't be.

Why: Let's be real, if I had a record label, these boys would be the first people I would sign. Plain and simple. Ever since getting the EP (which Chris emailed to me, which was WAY too nice and made my day) I have listened to it at least twice a day. I can't tell you just how great I think these guys are, not to mention how nice they are. Seriously. Vicci stamp of approval ALL OVER THIS BAND. Trust me when I say their EP is WELL worth the $5. SO GO GET IT ON ITUNES!!!!

What they've done since I posted about them: Well, I mean, not much. I DID just write about them lol BUT they do have a show coming up in Greensboro, NC on the 11th, so if you're in the area, you should go. I know I would.

Finding Atlantis

Ok, ok, I'll admit it. I've been neglecting my blog because I've been sucked into the black hole that is Netflix's Romantic Comedy Instant Watch Category. Go ahead. Laugh all you want, but that is why BTNLT has been so devoid of human activity. BUT FEAR NOT LOYAL READERS! Because Finding Atlantis has brought me back.

Luck would have it that I checked my email today and saw a Twitter email saying a street team had started following me. Odd, since I didn't know the band in which this street team repped, so I went to rectify the situation, if only just to make myself more knowledgable in the musicverse. And it led me to this band's Facebook, and from Facebook, to their songs. And then where from their songs, you ask?

Straight to rocking out and ignoring the sweet, sweet cries of yet another couple who would end up living happily ever after.

Now, what is this band's appeal? What about them dragged me away from my 2011 Thanksgiving Movie Binge?

This pop rock band from Winston-Salem, NC has two songs. Just.... two songs. One has 94 plays (soon to be 95 as I am listening to it, again, as I type) and one that has 638 plays (probably 639 as soon as this post is done) and upon first hearing them, I just sat back and let both of those song play three times each.

They're wonderful! Chris Lane's voice is the voice that you have always wanted to hear when you pressed play on a pop rock band's music and never gotten. Shawn James provides excellent back up vocals and do NOT even get me started on the playing he, Arthur Balwah and Josh Willis are doing on these two tracks. It's just.... superb.

This young band has ALL the right beginnings, and you can bet that I'm going to be keeping an eye on them. Really, the only way they can go is up, and the future just looks oh so bright for them. Seriously. Check them out.

Austin Nivarel

If one wanted to visually represent the sound that is Austin Nivarel, they need to look no further than his past Facebook profile pictures.



Just look at it. He's happy, colorful, and just looks like one of the sweetest guys ever. Now, go liste to his music. Happy. Colorful. And Sweet. This boy is what I started my day with on Friday, and it led to not only a wonderful morning, but a wonderful day. (It should be noted that I am the furthest thing from a morning person you can get, so anything that can make me smile when I wake up is on to something.)

My first thought about this Wisconsin-onian (is that what they're called?) was that he was like a male version of Taylor Swift (minus the inability to sing live) which is why I greatly aprove of his cover of her song "Enchanted". His version is great, and he definitely did it justice. I actually think it's better than the original (I'm sure I sound like a T-swizzle hater, but I would just like to say that I'm not. I actually own all her albums. Just as an FYI.)

Basically, I guess what you need to know most from this post is that Austin Nivarel might be the most spirit uplifting music I have blogged about. If you just want something to make you smile and make your day just seem that much better, you should look into his stuff.

(I would also like to point out that with the exceptiong of percussion, which is played by Tony Wick, Austin plays all his own instruments :) Boy has some talent.)

Take The Day

The last thing I listened to on my laptop, was low. Which probably explains why the volume was all the way up on both my computer AND Youtube. So, when I clicked on Take The Day's "FTW" it's needless to say that my ears were assaulted with heavy guitar and crashing cymbals. Maybe assaulted isn't the best word, since it connotates something negative, something that this band, is far from.

Milwaukee claims this currently unsigned band, but honestly, I can't see them staying 1) in Milwaukee and 2) unsigned for long. With the idea of wanting to spread "positivity, passion and love" through their music, I can't say that they have failed. In fact, listening to them does remind me of my younger music days, rocking out to Simple Plan's "I'd Do Anything", The Ataris' with their cover of "Boy of Summer" and Bowling for Soup's "Girl All the Bad Guys Want". Whether that is what they're aiming for, I probably won't know, but needless to say, the put a smile on my face this fine November morning.

I found Take The Day because they liked a quote I posted on Tumblr, and I think that quote shows just what type of band these guys are, so I'm going to share it here as well.

What I feel most obligated to is sourcing inspiration and chasing it down and living inside of it and not obsessing over whether or nor this track is going to be on the radio or whether or not this album is going to be gold. So yeah, in a world filled with people making music just to get rich and famous, I feel that these boys have jumped into for the right reasons. And I definitely look forward to what they have in store for us.

(I'd also like to throw on out their that their logo is super cool, and they have badass taste in music. Facebook says we like pretty much all the same bands lol)

Let's face it, it was a terrible day for any new music to be discovered by me today. The stream of Marianas Trench's Ever After went live, and there were very few things that were gonna stop me from listening to anything other than that today.

That was until I had listened to the album three times and then checked my email and saw that I had a new twitter follower. And you guys know the philosophy. Give me a chance, and you get one in return. So I stopped what I was doing, and put RadioDriveBy on.

I think what I like best about this Arizona based band is that they "want to make your ears happy" and that's exactly what they did. They didn't try to sell me something other than upbeat, fun pop rock (and we all know how I feel about my pop rock).

Trent's voice is really interesting, and is always switching between familiar and completely unique. It intrigues me. However, he isn't the only member of the band, and Adam, Austin and David should be mentioned as their playing meshes so well together with each other as well as Trent.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been slightly bitter about the fact that I had to like this band in order to listen to their music, but I have seen in the error in my ways, because they are well worth the like. I'll be keeping my eyes on these boys. And I sincerely hope they'll be heading down to Texas (and by Texas, I mean Austin) sometime soon so I can enjoy them live :)

Do you guys remember Moonlight Social?

They were one of my first posts, which you can see here. It really doesn't do them any justice and honestly, I should probably redo it now that I know what I'm doing.

But I digress.

You guys already know that I absolutely adore them and want nothing more than for them to make it big.

LUCKILY, we (yes, WE) have the opportunity to help them :)

They have the chance to work on their debut full-length album with Matt Noveskey of Blue October this January.

So where do you come in? Well,you see, they need help making some money for costs. $16,000 to be exact. So, if you could please, PLEASE, help em out, that would be marvelous. The Cab

I've known The Cab for awhile. How long you ask? I discovered them when their first album, Whisper War came out in 2008. It also was the year I saw them for the first time with Danger Radio, The Maine, Forever the Sickest Kids and Metro Station at Emo's Outside.

So yeah. It's been awhile. Long enough for me to just assume that everyone knows about them. Which is exactly why I have decided to talk about them today. (That, and the fact that I got to see them, again, last night.)

There are many things I love about The Cab. Their music is wonderful, they're some of the sweetest guys you'll ever meet and they work hard for what they want.

It took them awhile to release their latest album, Symphony Soldier which came out just a couple of months ago, mainly because of setbacks such as lineup changes and conflicts with their record label. But it was an album WELL worth the wait.

Now unsigned, The Cab is doing everything on their own and they deserve way more recognition than they get.

All in all, The Cab is that sexy pop rock that so many bands wish they could make, but just don't quite get there.

Anarbor

So Anarbor has been on my iPod for awhile, and I would be lying if I said I just found them.

However, I still love them immensely and often wonder why I don't hear people talking about them or sight them more often.

What I had loved about Anarbor when I first heard their self-released EP Hearing Colours, Seeing Sounds was that it wasn't perfect. There were moments that were so raw that I actually felt as if the band was right there in the room with me. I also couldn't help but love their lyrics, which I thought were very mature and rather beautiful coming from such a young band at the time.

Ex-"I am god and the devil himself kisses my feet." "My bed gets sick of your body like the moon gets sick of the stars." and "I wanna feel the beat of your selfish heart as our bodies melt into one in the dark."

Since discovering them, this band has been signed to Hopeless Records and released two EPs and one full length. And MOST recently, they released The Mixtape which is them covering songs.

Basically, this band has done a lot of work, and has been near and dear to my heart, so this is more of a personal post I guess.

Go love em.

Harbour Season

A chorus of Oh's is what greeted me when I opened up the link to Harbour Season's facebook page, and let's be honest, they had me hooked. But I mean, you guys know how I feel about pop rock by now. And the fact that they're from the UK? I may be slightly biased.

But, all joking aside, it isn't what this band is that I adore about them, though it is a great start, but it's where I can totally see them going. Harbour Season has only been a band since the beginning of this year, and they are already producing these sounds. So I can only imagine where they're going to be this time next year.

I also think that it should be noted that one of their songs is called "Hey Vegeta... I Can Fly!" Now, that may mean nothing to the common man, but to someone who grew up during the era of Toonami (when Toonami was good) the DBZ reference was not lost (assuming it was in fact a DBZ reference). Which can only mean one thing.

These boys make great music, have loads of talent, and could DEFINITELY be my best friends.

Set It Off

I actually was a fan of Cody Carson before I was a fan of Set If Off, his Orchestral Pop band from Tampa, FL. He shares my love for All Time Low, but is actually talented enough to cover on youtube. Anyway, he started promoting his band, so of course I had to give them a shot, and I love them. It has been exciting for me to hear the growth this band has under gone over the past couple of years, going from a pop rock sound to a more full, darker sound. My personal favorite by them is "I Promise" with it's sweeping orchestra, vocals and tone. I think it's a beautiful song unlike any I've heard from a band also categorized as a pop rock band. Their song @Reply is another great one that gives you a feel for their darker side as well a cleaner, more put together sound.

The Mid-Summer Classic

The Mid-Summer Classic started following me on twitter. And I generally like to check out the people who follow me on twitter. It's my main source for these things in case you ever wondered. This band, fits in quite nicely with the general scheme of bands I love. The more pop-rock it is, the more I'll probably like it, and this, is pop-rock at it's finest. There are lyrics about young love, guitars, keyboard, and excellent hair. (LOL) But in all seriousness, I am a major fan of Robert Dobbs' voice and I feel like after a bit of fine tuning, this band actually has a shot at hitting it big. They have all the factors to be GREAT. Now all they need, is your love. SO GIVE IT TO THEM.
